How to download windows 10 version 1803

As you may remember, Windows 10, version 1803, is reaching its end of support soon. Microsoft has started to show end of support notifications to users running version 1803 in order to get them migrated to a recent (supported) feature update.

November isn't far away now and yet many users are not on version 1809 because of its serious data loss issue. Instead of forcing the update right away, Microsoft has started showing a warning.

A support document explains that Microsoft plans to start enforcing updates on devices running Windows 10 version 1803 if you haven't updated already to a recent version by the time it reaches end of support.

The update process was started in June 2019 and it is now being rolled out to a wider range of devices.

The exact date when Windows 10 April 2018 Update reaches end of service is November 12, 2019 for both Home and Pro editions.

You can get Windows 10 May 2019 Update, version 1903 manually by clicking the “Check for updates” button in Settings > Windows Update. Also, both Windows 10 Home and Pro edition users can pause this feature update for up to 35 days. This is a new upgrade policy Microsoft is using these days.

Finally, you can wait a little and get version 1909 installed instead of Windows 10 version 1903. Windows 10, both version 1803 and 1809, will get it once it releases in October 2019.

Windows 10 version 1909 is Windows 10 1903 + cumulative updates + KB4517245 that raises the OS version to build 18363.327+ and enables all the new features.
