Philip Michael Andersson aka Dj Philip started his deejay career in 1989 as an all-round deejay, playing all kinds of music from new wave to reggae at local parties and holding two residencies at 2 local clubs. Philip was also one of the leading men behind the Gemini II project, and was the man who got Zippora here first international hit. And played all over the world. From South Africa to Colombia, Spain, Italy, Germany, etc. In December 2006 Philip started his own record label Faith Music with releases from Pole Folder, Oliver Moldan, Art-B, Miquell Santos, Mastino, DavaDiToma, etc. And featuring remixes from Jim Rivers, Glenn Morrison, GuyJ, Oliver Moldan, etc.

This young deejay started his musical career in his early 20’s together with his close friend Benjamin. Soon enough they boosted many local parties and clubs. Together with Nick At Night, close friend and party-promotor they started a fresh new concept at La Rocca named Papaya. Inviting many international stars such as Martin Solveig and Dr. Kucho, Papaya quickly became one of the leading party’s at La Rocca.

Meanwhile the dynamic duo spinned the decks at many other belgian clubs (Fuse, Outline, Escape, …) and festivals. While Benjamin dropped out during the summer of 2004, Joeri obtained his Sunday residency at La Rocca, playing together with friend and deejay icon Marko. His sets became more progressive and were enthusiastically received in national (Real, The Zoo, Pulse Factory, Café d’Anvers, …) and international clubs (Folies Pigalle, Rex, Bar Du Port, Vip-Room, Ocean Club, Dreamers, …) as well as during outdoor festivals such as Solar, Bloomingdale, Dance Parade, Sonar, Tomorrowland and City Parade.

Last year Joeri’s name appeared in the line up of jock stars such as: Dj Philip Michael Anderson, Dave Lambert, Dj Tofke, Tiësto, Wally Lopez, Sarah Main, David Guetta, Pole Folder, Danny Howells, Sasha, Eric Prydz, Felix Da Housecat, … Meanwhile he’s working on his first record and scheduling many gigs. The future is promising.

Neon, real name Stijn D’hont, was born in Destelbergen, near gent in 1985. Destelbergen was known for the “Boccaccio Life”, the famous new beat temple in Belgium. Living that close to this extraordinary club changed his way of living: it’s the music that counts. In 1995 ,at the age of 10, he started buying vinyl. In those days PhiPhi, Yves Deruyter & Marko were his big influences… After organising his own parties, Mike Thompson offered him a dj set at the legendary Cherry Moon in Lokeren. His first club gig at the age of 15! Meantime, Neon was also doing his thing on the radio. He had his own show broadcasting every night on C-dance Ghent.

His radio appearance influenced his dj-career: he got the opportunity to start playing at his favourite club: the former Boccaccio that was called The Temple at the time. In 2003 he became one of the warm up deejays. One year later, he left C-dance for the biggest dance radio in flanders: Top Radio. Starting with a weekly dj-set, Neon soon got his own daily spot on national radio hosting his own radio show called “The Nightclub”. Later that year he started his show update. This show is still on air everyday from 8am giving you an “update” on the hottest new music.

In 2005 Neon started his professional carreer as he started working at Musicman, a record store in Ghent and became resident at The Temple on saturdays playing house, groove and progressive. Even TV wasn’t safe anymore: every week he presented the “Release of the Week” on jim tv’s “Going Out” show. Since januari 2007,thanks to his friend and colleague Joeri, he has been resident on Sunday nights at the number one club in Belgium: La Rocca, Lier.

2008 & 2009 are the years where Neon takes it one step beyond. Together with his friend and colleague Maxim Lany he took over the main room of Culture Club where he is still playing today on Thursday & Saturday nights. In 2009 Neon also was the closing act on the Laundry Day main stage playing after Tiësto. This set made the StuBru listeners vote Neon as fifth most popular dj in Belgium of 2010.

Nowadays Neon is also know as one of the Ghent Bangers: Teaming up with Davidov they make sure no club, festival or bar mitswa is safe anymore: Complete anarchy & mayhem on the dance floor!

In 1989 Christophe Mark aka Tofke Guaparas started deejaying at underground party’s together with Deg (Fuse). In 1990 Claude from City Parade discovered Tofke and gave him his chance to start at the age of 15 as Belgium’s youngest DJ in the very first after club in Belgium called The Globe. At the time, his music style was a new, fresh, techno sound. Soon enough he played in clubs all over Europe such as: Warehouse (Koln), E-Werk (Berlin), La Luna (Marseille), Rex (Paris), and raves like Mayday (Berlin), Love Parade (Berlin), Magic Kingdom (Switzerland), Coalmine Rave (Croatia). In all these different places he held his ground next to DJ’s like Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Jack de Marseille, Alex Patterson, Richie Hawtin, Marco Bailey and many, many more.

In 1993 he was elected third best Belgium deejay by the readers poll of the iconic nightlife magazine “Out Soon”. Later that year he fell in love with Ibiza where he started to play on beach parties and private villa parties. From 1996 till 2002 he held a weekly residency at Pacha for two years and one at Space Ibiza for another two years. He also did one season @ Pin-Up for Coxwen. Besides that, he played in all the major clubs in Ibiza such as Privilege, El Divino, Amnesia and also got the chance to do underground parties like Circo Loco @ DC10 and Km5. Next to all the deejaying he also owned the famous bar “Coolture Cafe Ibiza” together with his friend Carmello Martinez.

Tofke teamed up with Daniel Munoz (former creative director @ Space) to start “Mad Productions”. They were the first to organise Ibiza-reunions in Belgium. Back in Belgium he has been resident in almost every club worth mentioning. Think La Rocca, Pacha Brussels, At The Villa, The Globe, Bump @ Fuse, Carat, Illusion, H2O, Creamm, Barocco, etc. And he still pays regular visits to Pacha Marrakech, Cream-Gran Canaria, Ministry of Sound, Kadoc, Panama, Souk, … In 2004 Tofke started the collective “The Creamminals” together with partners in crime Alec Stylez and Art.B.

In 2007 he start throwing his own parties in La Rocca Backstage once a month which has a reputation as being the most famous meeting-point for people in the industry. Later that year a new club opened its doors in Belgium, Noxx. Soon enough Tofke was asked to become a resident at their Salle Noire where he shared the decks with names such as Dubfire, Loco Dice, John Digweed, Audiofly, Davide Squilace, … He also mixed the 1 year Noxx compilation which went straight to the top of the charts in Belgium.

In 2009 Tofke teamed up with Ugur Akkus to start Labyrinth Productions. In just one year they’ve managed to become one of the most wanted promotors of the moment.

Belgium-based but beaming the love of house all over the world with a blend of funky rhythms, groovy sax and smooth vocals: Dj Licious knows good vibes come from nothing but house music. After founding the celebrated clubbing concept SHOMI in Antwerp, his deejay career directed him to the Belgian “Defected in the House” parties, proudly pushing house music on a national level. By mixing fresh tunes in his own radio show on Radio FG, spinning his favorite tracks at clubs and festivals worldwide (Tomorrowland, Privilege Ibiza, Laundry Day, Summerfestival, Versuz, La Rocca, WMC Miami, Pacha World Tour, and many more), Dj Licious does what he loves most: let the music do the talking.

Producing his own tracks was only a natural step in spreading quality house vibes all around the world. His work has been played and approved around the world. Now he is signed to Funkerman’s label “Can You Feel It?” where it’s all about getting that funk and soul back where they belong: into the heart of house music. House is where the heart is. Home is where the house is.

This promising artist from the Diamond Capital of The World – Antwerp, started deejaying in the late 90s and quickly became one the most respected deejays of Belgium. After winning a DJ-contest at the age of 19, he got the chance to play as a resident at Club Illusion, a well known and legendary club in Belgium. With this solid operating base, Christophe! quickly gained popularity with his own characteristic style of sexy, pumping progressive house grooves and the ability to grab his audience by it’s throat until they danced the soles of their feet. This gave him the opportunity to launch his own club night called ‘The Hype!’, where he invited big names like Funkagenda, Ida Engberg, Delicious & Till West, Spencer parker — just to name a few. No wonder ‘The Hype!’ quickly became an established concept, pulling massive crowds from all over Belgium and beyond.

As a result of the success of ‘The Hype!’, Christophe! started his own record label ‘The Hype Records’ in 2007. ‘ The Hype Records’ not only releases new tracks by Christophe! himself, but also offers upcoming Belgian talents the chance to release their own productions. One of his latest releases, Totop, reached the Beatport top 100 and almost instantly got credit from all over the world. At the same time he did remixes for Belgian artists such as Dizkodude, Steve Slight, Dj Wout, U&Me and several others.

Next to his residency at Club Illusion, Christophe! became a much appreciated guest DJ at countless parties in and around Belgium. The last decade he played at legendary clubs and festivals like Tomorrowland, Summerfestival, Beachland, Moodstock, La Rocca, Noxx, Club Lux and several parties in Holland, Spain and Ibiza.

Ãme are German duo Kristian Beyer & Frank Wiedemann. Inspired by the music of Stevie Wonder, WestEnd Rec, Transmat, Weather Report and Herbie Hancock they describe they make Detroit-influenced deep house and music with soul.

After a long night of dancing, many night club patrons leave the venue with a certain track stuck in their heads. But for Âme, the DJ/production duo of Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann, the tunes lodged in their brains are the ones they didn’t hear, ones not yet written that would fit perfectly in their sets. Since 2003, Beyer and Wiedemann have penned songs that once existed just outside club- goers’ imagination, songs that boldly combined floor-filling elements with conceptual conceits while maintaining their visceral appeal. As part of Innervisions, the collective/label they run with Dixon, Âme (pronounced “AHM”) offer glimpses of the future of electronic music through their live project, genre-melding compilations, and an independently run shop that completes the connection between artist and admirer. In a genre obsessed with reliving the past, Ame are focused on what’s still to come.

The partnership was formed in their hometown of Karlsruhe where Wiedemann first crossed paths with Beyer in 2001 at the latter’s record shop, Plattentasche. Bonding over Chicago house, Detroit techno and much else besides, the duo joined forces in 2003 to produce seminal deep house platters for Sonar Kollektiv, many of which were collected on the duo’s selftitled debut album. Intent on not repeating themselves, Ame splintered their established sound and found a more nimble, compositional approach that yielded their scene-conquering single, “Rej.” Not content to rest on their laurels as the tune made the rounds on Defected Records and many others, the pair teamed up with Dixon and Henrik Schwarz in 2006 for another instant classic, “Where We At,” featuring Derrick Carter’s stirring vocals.

Andy Baxter is a DJ with the innate ability to read any dance floor. There is no finer example than his home base of Pacha Ibiza, where he has covered every genre of music over his ten-year stint as year-round resident and international touring artist.

From Balearic sounds, hip-hop, disco and rare groove to deep, melodic tech house, 2012 saw an increase in demand for his main room sets, warming up for Defected, Cadenza, All Gone Pete Tong and Subliminal. Andy’s constantly evolving technical skills led to a role as host of the Pioneer Lab on the rooftop terrace, demonstrating the latest equipment to visiting international artists.

Additional residencies include a fifth season with the legendary We Love… Sundays at Space, season number six with iconic Ibiza sunset institution Café Mambo, plus a twice weekly residency at high-end beach club El Chiringuito and on-island resident duties for luxury and VIP event specialists The Shop. His unique ability to read the crowd and diverse musical taste made Andy the first choice to play as the official resident for all 3 days of the inaugural Ibiza 123 Festival with Sting, Lenny Kravitz and Elton John amongst the biggest DJs in the world. After his 180 gigs in Ibiza this summer alone, it is difficult to find a harder working DJ in the game.

His uncanny ability to be able to deliver the right groove from sunrise to sunrise and from beach to Nightclub have earned Andy the award for the Best Ibiza DJ and the prestigious Ibiza DJ Awards in 2012.

An unrelenting passion for new music also scored Baxter the enviable role of A&R scout for seminal label Defected, after head honcho Simon Dunmore spotted his ear for new talent in 2010. His extensive musical knowledge and constantly evolving technical skills have seen him tour the globe numerous times over and after rediscovering his passion for playing records, Baxter’s own monthly event in Ibiza, The Vinyl Fix was born.

Throughout 2012, Andy has embarked on multiple new studio productions and he continues to present his radio shows of various mediums such as Ibiza Sonica and Resident Advisor. The off season will see Baxter touring the Americas, Australia, Asia and South Africa.

If the rapturous applause from his peers and fans during the DJ Awards are anything to go by, we present to you one of the most popular DJs from spiritual home of Dance. The true resident of sound for the real Ibiza.

Angel Linde this resident DJ epitomizes the future sound of Pacha. Diverse, Deep and Groovy. Angel has DJed in Pacha for the past 14years, which explains his magical vibe and his reluctance to play abroad. The cherry on top thus far has to be his residency at Pacha Ibiza and decision to join the Pacha Booking Agency. To go through the list of DJs he has played alongside would be futile, especially if you play daily in a club that has summer residents such Sólomun, Guy Gerber,John Digweed,Dj Sneak,Willie Graff etc His uncanny ability to read the demands of the dance floor demonstrates his teeming experience and understanding. From gut wrenching House in the main room to deep dirty techno in the backroom, Angel gradually builds a set, working his grooves whilst exposing a heaving audience to diverse styles of music. Here is a DJ that delivers, no matter what the style or the crowd. An experienced and dedicated multi-styled resident, in one of the best nightclubs in the world, which has finally decided to take that groove across the globe.

From Desolat and Remote Area to Moon Harbour via Düsseldorf — in short, that’s how Arado’s story is best summed up. With the spotlight getting brighter for this talented German export, he’s already accrued a world-wide scroll of premium parties at Cocoon and Watergate Germany, Tenax in Italy, Café D’Anvers in Belgium, WMC in Miami, and a legendary closing finale last season at Space in Ibiza. Furthermore, his ongoing appearances for the People Like Us and Bad Boys Club events, are making it hard to believe that the first page of this young success story was only written in 2009.

Arado is genuine proof that almost everything is possible with the right amount of dedication and perseverance. As an undeniably talented producer – his “Uganda Express” release, signed by Loco Dice for his Desolat label, kick-started his career to international status. Following this acclaimed release came other outstanding productions on labels such as All Inn and Dame Music, which ultimately led to an EP on Matthias Tanzmann’s Moon Harbour label that even took him aboard their booking squad.

Whether in the beginning in partnership with Den Ishu or nowadays in collaboration with Italian Marco Faraone, Arada simply knows a thing or two about rocking the Deep & Tech House Floors worldwide. His raw, driving grooves with a Chicago edge enjoy the support of the international DJ elite, and are responsible for propelling him to the top of the rankings as an electronic music artist. With 2011 in full swing, Arado has already produced top releases on Etruria Beat and Four:Twenty, as well as remixes for artists such as Martinez and Butch.

It’s written in the stars where this German Rheinlander will go, but one thing is for sure: his journey has just begun…

As one in the steady progression of top in-house producers for Strictly Rhythm during the early ’90s, Van Helden joined such names as Todd Terry, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Masters at Work and George Morel to record scores of club hits. By the late ’90s, a clutch of crucial remixes and several albums made Van Helden’s name as one of the most popular producers around.

Until he began branching out in 1996 with a barrage of album productions and remix classics (several of which were heard by more people than the originals), Armand Van

Helden was one of the best-kept secrets in house music, recording for such labels as Strictly Rhythm, Henry St., Logic and ZYX. Afterwards, he became one of the top names in dance music altogether.

Van Helden spent time in Holland, Turkey and Italy while growing up the son of an Air Force man, and listened to music from an early age. He bought a drum machine at the age of 13 and began DJing two years later, mostly hip-hop and freestyle. Based in Boston while attending college, Van Helden proceeded to moonlight as a DJ; though he settled into a legal-review job after graduation, he quit his job in 1991 to begin working on production for the remix service X-Mix Productions (founded by his future manager, Neil Pettricone). Van Helden also owned a residency at Boston’s Loft, and soon made it into one of the most popular nightclubs in the city. After playing one of his production demos for the dance A&R guru Gladys Pizarro in 1992, Van Helden released his proper debut single, Deep Creed’s “Stay on My Mind,” for Nervous Records.

Later that year, Van Helden released “Move It to the Left” by Sultans of Swing, his first single for the premiere American dance label Strictly Rhythm. Though a moderate club hit, the single was eclipsed by another Strictly Rhythm offering, 1994’s “Witch Doktor.” It became a dancefloor hit around the world and introduced him to a larger club audience. Although he had remixed Deee-Lite, Jimmy Somerville, New Order, Deep Forest and Faithless, a reworked version of Tori Amos’ “Professional Widow” hit the clubs with the same impact as his “Witchdoktor” single. During 1996-97, Van Helden became the name for forward-thinking pop artists to recruit for remixing duty from the Rolling Stones, Janet Jackson and Puff Daddy to Sneaker Pimps, C.J. Bolland and Daft Punk. His own-name singles productions continued unabated, with hits like “Cha Cha” and “The Funk Phenomena,” plus the release of his first album, Old School Junkies. Following a 1997 Greatest Hits retrospective, Van Helden returned to his old-school rap roots with the party breakbeat album, Sampleslayer…Enter the Meatmarket. The 2 Future 4 U EP followed in 1998, and in mid-2000 Van Helden returned with Killing Puritans.

Art Department is the brainchild of Canadian techno/house Legend Kenny Glasgow and Canada’s fastest rising star and No.19 label owner – Jonny White.

As individuals both Kenny and Jonny have released countless critically acclaimed records and are regarded internationally as two of the most forward thinking, revolutionary underground producers out of North America. Kenny’s credentials date back to the late 80’s and include productions on Narcotic, Jinxx, his own Method 11/11 label and Turbo. Whilst White’s revered No.19 Music label along side a blindingly fast – growing discography have seen him rapidly rise to the forefront of the international scene.

The pair, despite being close friends and stalwarts in the Toronto electronic music scene for years, had not joined forces in the studio until only as recently as 2009, when Damian Lazarus called on them to remix Riz MC for his prestigious Crosstown Rebels Label. The result was an entirely new sound that drew cues from the best of both artists. It was a futuristic and raw, synth-driven, underground masterpiece, the start of a new idea and the birth of Art Department…

Before long the two were working full time in the studio to expand upon what they had created but now with a new focus… the concept for Art Department was to create a live dj/vocal performance based on the new sound they were beginning to produce and would feature Kenny Glasgow’s unique and sublime vocals that had been heard only 10+ years earlier on records like “Pressing On”. It wasn’t long before Damian heard what the pair had been working on and immediately offered them a deal with Crosstown Rebels that would include several singles, remixes and a full length album due out at the beginning of 2011.

The momentum continued and Art Department performed their first ever live show at the Crosstown Rebels Get Lost event at the 2010 WMC in front of a jam packed room, along side an A list cast of 17 artists from the label. DJ’s, promoters and party animals regarded the performance as one of the most ground-breaking & important shows at this years WMC…Simple label boss – Will Saul was quoted saying “the live show was the best thing we’ve heard since we heard Mathew Johnson for the first time…”. The follow up performance came the very next night at Jamie Jones & Lee Foss’ Hot Natured party where Art Department treated the enthusiastic crowd to a mind-bending dj set and secured their spot as residents for the much lauded Hot Natured brand.

With massive support from the rebel crew along with an exciting release schedule including collaborations with Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones and Soul Clap there is no doubt that this will be yet another inspired chapter in the story of these Canadian talents.

The global Dance icon and five-time Grammy nominated Axwell has had little time to rest upon his laurels over the past decade.

In a career that has taken him from the Swedish underground to Madison Square Gardens and the UK charts alike, his Midas like touch has seen Axel Hedfors rise as an idol of modern house music.

His national identity has been a heavy hallmark in terms of his global success. Alongside long serving peers and childhood friends Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, Swedish House Mafia has stamped out the animosity once associated with popular Dance music, setting a new precedent with such chart-topping endeavors as ‘Save the World’ and ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ and momentous live landmarks at Madison Square Garden, Milton Keynes Bowl and Main stage Ultra, Miami. Their legendary farewell tour ‘One Last Tour’ racked up a landmark run of 53 shows across 36 cities for the enigmatic trio. Ax has had a busy summer touring Europe’s most vibrant festival, Summerburst, Tomorrowlands, and Nova era to name a few. The end of August saw Axwell headlining his biggest ever solo show for Where’s the Party?, a 10,0000 capacity venue in his home town of Stockholm.

Ibiza 2013 saw Axwell move into a new era, bringing a new concept and brand to the white Isle, ‘Departures’. Along with fellow Swede and band member Sebastian Ingrosso, Departures set off a weekly party at the Ushuaia Hotel. Boasting sold out shows and an array of hot line ups it has been the success story of the season. Departures is not just a party, but, to quote “People tied together by love, by freedom, by adventure, by happiness, by the beat of the drum, where the native tongue is the body language of dancing together. “The future of the brand looks bright; it encompasses not only Axwell’s talent and passion for his music but his beliefs and love for his fans.

With countless IDs dating back to 2007 Axwell has little intention of resting on those iconic laurels just yet. Driven by the belief that every release should matter, his Axtone Records imprint continues to lead with quality and consistency, balancing his own musical tastes alongside some of the freshest talents on offer. Ax already has many landmark hits under his belt, ‘Feel The Vibe, ‘Wonderful World’ and the accidental crossover anthem ‘I Found U’ were all track synonymous of his earlier years. This year has seen a flurry of new music with collaborations with Sick Individuals on ‘I Am’ that is set to be huge, ‘Tokyo By Night’ with Hook N Sling and a remix with NO_ID on Mutiny’s ‘Feel the Pressure’. Now is the time he can once again concentrate on his solo career, for Axwell these songs are all crafted with love from the heart.

Having spun eclectic sets across 67 countries at some 480 shows over the past 5 years, it is fair to say that Ax has a solid vision for the road ahead. As a proud member of the thriving global dance culture and a man who has taken the long way round to fulfil his wildest dreams, the labour of love has seldom sounded as sweet as that of Axwell.

In today’s world which has become infiltrated with DJs, you find a select few DJs like Behrouz who have managed to reach that top echelon, either through hard work and determination, support from fans and peers, and those that just have that God given gift to rock rooms (be it small or big) around the world for 10 or more plus hours, taking listeners on those unforgettable journeys of different genres of dance music ranging from deep house all the way to techno. Embarking on world tours, taking him from Dubai to Brazil, to legendary rooms like Womb in Tokyo, Twilo and Vinyl in NY and festivals like Dance Valley and the Cream festival in Spain, and playing long sets eventually led to the creation of the Pure Behrouz concept that has taken Behrouz’s signature sound to a new level. The whole…

Welcome to Behrouz’s world… From his early days growing up in San Francisco, when San Francisco was considered at the time, the best city in the US for house music and still till this day lives up to its crowning title, you can find some of the best underground clubs. One DJ in particular was chosen to be the main resident DJ for two of the best known clubs at different times. Behrouz held a residency at DV8 for eight years and another eight years at 1015, and the man paid his dues by rocking both rooms each week to a packed house of clubbers ready to dance from open to close and where the motto was always “it’s all about music….”

While being a resident at 1015, Behrouz was snatched by the Deep Dish boys who recognized his talent, while they had a monthly residency with Behrouz at 1015. They chose him to be on their labels Yoshitoshi and Shinichi and added him to their booking agency roster. And from there on, Behrouz didn’t let them or his fans down. It’s been an uphill road which has lead him to become a top notch producer as well. His remix of “Safe From Harm” topped every dance chart and hit #1 on the Billboard’s Dance Chart. His single “What We Do In Life” being chosen to be included in the classic Yoshisque CD compilation and his single “Azab”, being played by all the major DJs and used in many compilations such as Carl Cox’s Fact-Australia CD series, to his 2008 smash hit being crowned by Pete Tong as an Essential New Tune, Behrouz ft The FPI Project, “Rich in Paradise”. 2009 was a big year in the studio for Behrouz releasing hits including “Feeling Good”, “Time Travel” and “Lost in Translation”. 2010 has been one of Behrouz’ busiest years to date. In addition to his endless gigs around the world and new productions, he has also developed Pure Behrouz as a two hour SIRIUS|XM radio show, airing every Saturday night. As well, keep a look out for an abundance of new studio work and his newest compilation Pure Behrouz: San Francisco on Nervous Records in early 2011. Behrouz is truly the DJ’s DJ.

Raising the bar and forging ahead with a unique sound that many have proclaimed as eclectic house with soul, Behrouz’s fame spread to the White Island known as Ibiza and eventually the powers that be from Circo Loco at DC10 asked him to be a guest DJ which lead to him to play for the club for over three years, rocking the room at the peak era of the Circo Loco legendary parties and being chosen to do the closing parties for Circo Loco at DC10 for two years and eventually touring for them all over Italy. At the same time Space Ibiza handpicked Behrouz to do their renowned closing party and he has continued the tradition for the past five years, playing sets with fellow peers and friends such as Danny Tenaglia, Deep Dish, and Pete Tong, to name a few. Adding to the Ibiza roster, Behrouz was also a resident at Pacha Ibiza for two years in a row for the Yoshitoshi parties and as of 2007, Behrouz has become the resident DJ for the famous Made In Italy parties at Amnesia and abroad. If that’s not enough, gaining notoriety throughout the industry quickly led to Behrouz being nominated for Best Breakthrough DJ at the 2004 Dancestar Awards held yearly in Miami during the Winter Music Conference, nominated for Best Breakthrough DJ at the 2004 DJ Awards in Ibiza and being nominated for Best Resident DJ at the 2005 Club World Awards for his famous Pure Behrouz residency at Ruby Skye in San Francisco.

The whole meaning or direction of the Pure Behrouz night starts with Behrouz playing from open to close, taking his audience on that famous journey of different genres of music, which only a select few can dare to embark upon. As many can attest to, the Pure Behrouz nights have been compared to listening to four separate DJs playing in a club, all in one night. In this day and age where most DJs can play no more than a standard two hour set on their lap top, with Pure Behrouz, you get a pure journey of music, not on a lap top, but through love, vinyls that are handpicked by Behrouz himself around the world and upfront music that most likely you may never get the chance to hear from another DJ. Step into the world of Pure Behrouz!

BLOND:ISH got their kickstart into the music world after they claimed the World Air Guitar Championship title in Montreal in 2008. Since then it’s been a whirlwind of gigs, music releases and a never ending mission to spread love and expand consciousness through music. As members of the notorious Kompakt and Get Physical families along with a slew of other labels, Anstascia and Vivie-Ann have carved out a niche thanks to their dark, sensual club music, sultry DJ sets and outrageous, fun-loving attitude.

In the beginning there was no plan, just a chance meeting at WMC in 2007 which resulted in a cosmic bond between two house music loving visionaries and the conception of one of Montreal’s midweek mangles at Cherry nightclub. Their work as promoters and DJs at the party, which was called ‘BLOND:ISH’, started a natural chain of events and it was only a matter of time before they decided it was time to transmit the hedonistic spirit of their debauched soiree to the rest of planet Earth.

In 2010 they packed up and shipped out of Canada to soak up all the energy and inspiration London had to offer. The influential city provided the perfect location for their musical endeavours. Stardust manifested itself in several key moments of pure magic over the following years; from an old friend connecting them to the Kompakt family and their first release with the seminal label, to M.A.N.D.Y’s Philipp opening a spine-tingling set in the wonder of the Mexican jungle with ‘In My Head’ and welcoming them into the Get Physical crew.

A slew of original productions and gigs all over the world helped to reinforce their undying love for music and demonstrated that, where words fail, BLOND:ISH’s music speaks. One of their ultimate experiences taking place at Burning Man where for the last 4 years, they could truly embrace their hippie spirit and share their ideologies with like minded people. Remixes for several high-profile artists showcased their ability to put a sly electronic BLOND:ISH spin on a myriad of styles. Electronic music legends Depeche Mode among the many recipients of their unique talents.

BLOND:ISH are now poised to embark on the next step of their mission. Taking field recordings on every trip they make, and finding inspiration during a month of downtime in Mexico, the duo have their sights set firmly on keeping that magical energy flowing, sending positive vibrations deep into the outer regions of the universe.

Legend. It’s a word that’s bestowed far to easily these days. Like the word ‘love’, it’s used both freely and easily by many people to describe many things. But use those words when you’re talking about Bob Sinclar and they’re far from taken out of context. Bob Sinclar is the man who put the groove back onto the dance floor. A man who marches to the beat of his own tune, whether it’s the discotastic 12″ delights of ‘World Hold On’ and ‘Love Generation’, the deep and soulful beats of his Africanism movement, or the near-obsession with reggae and dance hall that has filled his production work of late. For many, Bob Sinclar is one of the few legendary DJ/producers that we love to listen to — and it’s a relationship that’s far from over.

The name Bob Sinclar, as many correctly guess, is in fact the alias of one Christophe Le Friant. Originally known as Chris ‘The French Kiss’, it was after watching Philippe de Broca’s French spy movie ‘Le Magnifique’ that the artist known as Bob Sinclar was born. He quickly rose to fame on the back of his 1998 co-production with Thomas Bangalter, the Jane Fonda sampling ‘Gym Tonic’. Released as part of his first album ‘Paradise’ this funked-up, pumping, vocal house track caught the world’s imagination and even though, to this day the track still remains a stand-out piece of work any house fan worth their salt can instantly conjure up.

Bob followed ‘Paradise’ with his second album ‘Champs Elysees’ and from that came ‘I Feel For You’ and ‘Darlin’ — two instant classics that cemented his position as one of the leading artists in the huge house revival of that time. But it wasn’t just house music that attracted Bob. From the black roots of reggae, hip-hop, funk and acid-jazz, he began to craft out his own sound and along with other French up-and-coming artists such as Martin Solveig, David Guetta, DJ Gregory, NaSSau, Julien Jabre and more, formed the celebrated Africanism movement. Bob and his fellow artists produced tracks like ‘Slave Nation’, ‘On The Drum’ and ‘Bisou Sucre’, showing off Bob’s rich understanding of beat, groove and vocal flow. At the same time, the disco vibe of ‘Cerrone’ further underlined his versatility and relentless passion to create music. He was unstoppable and on the back of his passion, his critically acclaimed label Yellow Productions swiftly rose to the top ranks of independent electronic imprints.

Then in 2005, a track called ‘Love Generation’ was released on Yellow, followed in 2006 by ‘World Hold On’. Quite simply, both tracks took the name and the music of Bob Sinclar stratospheric. Number 1s’ around the world, included on countless compilations and played on radio stations in every country, on every continent — everybody knew who Bob Sinclar was; and everybody wanted a piece of the action. His ‘Defected in the House’ album found its way into countless music collections; his ‘Night At The Playboy Mansion’ mix double disc CD became an instant collector’s item — at the same time linking Bob into an institution he closely identified with. He was the head of House and the whole world knew it. But yet more was to come from the feverishly innovative producer.
2009 saw Bob release ‘Born in 69’, and to accompany it he further indulged his passion for the playboy lifestyle by producing his own tribute to Hugh Heffner’s seminal publication; Playbob. ‘Lala Song’, ‘Peace Song’ and ‘Love You No More’ were just some of the tracks from the album to be released and saw Bob shift back towards the sound of his Africanism genre. In 2010 Bob travelled to Kingston, Jamaica to work with world renowned producers Sly & Robbie, giving his biggest hits a reggae-flavoured reworking that gave his ‘Best of…’ album ‘Made In Jamaica’ a hugely creative twist.

November 2010 sees Bob unleash his latest collaboration, with the world’s biggest dance hall recording star, Sean Paul. ‘Tik Tok’, which samples quite possibly the most recognisable riff in the world, 2 Unlimited’s ‘No Limits’ has been taking the planet by storm, Sean’s unmistakable spit-fire lyrics cascading over Bob’s typically smooth and groove-laden production. Once again, Bob Sinclar is setting dance floors and airwaves around the world ablaze.

With all that production behind him, Bob Sinclar has equally and easily carved out a reputation as one of the most talented DJs anywhere on the planet. From the States to South America, Europe, Asia and down under in Australia, the demand for Bob’s smooth disco-tinged house sets is unwavering. His flair for blending vocals, instrumentals and rhythms into one soaring, euphoric house set still rock clubs to their very foundation wherever he touches down.

With all this in mind it really feels like the story has only just begun for one of the world’s most energetic and prolific performing artists. A brand new album with some surprising collaboration ensues and so with it further demand as the world holds on

Brian is one half of the world-renowned remix team “Jazz-N-Groove Productions” and co-owner of the critically acclaimed record label Soulfuric Recordings. He also records under the monikers of “Urban Blues Project”, and “Cleptomaniacs”, as well as remixing for everyone from Loleatta Holloway to Arnold Jarvis to Sounds of Blackness. Originally from NJ, Brian started Djing back in 1984, finding his love for soulful sounds through Tony Humphries radio show on 98.7 Kiss FM. As the late 80’s exploded with the fresh new sounds of House Music, his passion grew to an obsession and he’s never looked back.

Making his way into production gradually in the early 90’s, Brian fused his DJ experiences with his love for soulfully crafted songs and melody with the result being Jazz-N-Groove Productions. With a consistent output of quality tracks, Jazz-N-Groove quickly established itself with cuts like Northbound “Better Way”, Mone “We Can Make it”, and Native Rhythm “Ya Hey” on pioneering labels such as Suburban, Bassline, Strictly Rhythm, and AM: PM. As a producer, Brian’s collaborations with partner Marc Pomeroy under the “Urban Blues Project” moniker have become some of the most celebrated soulful house classics known to man with records like Michael Procter’s “Deliver Me”, Donna Allen “He is the Joy” and most recently “We are One” featuring Bobby Pruitt being prime examples.

Also an accomplished engineer and programmer, Brian’s studio talents are highlighted by meticulous attention to detail and arrangement. Walking the fine line of commercial accessibility and credibility, his productions shine with powerful yet soulful styling.

In 1998 the “Cleptomaniacs” were born. What began as a simple collaboration with long time friend John “Julius” Knight, quickly evolved into something much more.with now classic tracks such as “Numero Uno”, “Let’s Get Down”, “All I Do” and “Give it Up”, The Cleptomaniacs have produced and remixed many dance floor favorites. Their trend setting ability to rework a classic into a modern day floor filler is second to none. Nowadays, Brian and John involve Marc on many of their productions and mixes.

You can catch Brian Djing in some of the worlds most exclusive venues with regular guest appearances at clubs such as Ministry of Sound – London, Pacha – Ibiza, D-Club – Switzerland, Bed – Sheffield, Mach 1 – Germany and many more. Fusing the old with the new, Brian’s strength lies in his programming ability, proving time and time again there’s more to Djing than mixing records.

Over the years, Brian has developed from a local club jock to a World Class master of the art of working a crowd. His performance behind the wheels of steel has to be experienced in the club to get a true sense of the magic that is delivered. Brian’s other skills are no less impressive in the studio. Whether he is masterfully and methodically creating drum programs, arranging, producing or remixing, he is the living definition of the word perfectionist.

Constantly working in parallels – drenched by a potent mixture of juxtaposition and fluidity in both his sets and his productions – Bülent Gürler AKA Butch, fuses the grey-area space between music of the body and mind. With over 20 years consumed by a thirst for electronic music, the Alzey-born, Mainz raised entity has released on leading imprints such as Desolat, Cocoon, Rekids, Sei Es Drum and beyond, while maintaining a solid DJ schedule that’s seen him open the minds of crowds at fabric, Time Warp and his residency at Berlin’s Watergate.

22-years ago, a 12 year old Butch received his first record player, some second hand vinyl and obediently burrowed into his room to scritch-scratch and beat juggle imitating and idolizing the masters he saw at the DMC World Championships and the vinyl culture central to its core. Of course, he grew older and louder and continued to broaden his palate for music. Butch got hooked on the art of sculpting beats sometime in the last millennium. He started with baby-steps in 1991 before reaching his current optimum state – a refined style that’s seen him voted as ‘Best Producer’ in Groove and Raveline magazines two years in a row, whilst also sitting atop the All-Time Most Charted section on Resident Advisor.

“My further musical influence came from my brother” reflects Butch…”recording the techno mixes from the radio as he was out at night partying”, explaining the gradual transition from boom-bap to 4-4 funk and drive. “I absorb influence and ideas from everywhere…so, as my music has many styles, I like to make different styles too.”

Techno heads love Butch, house heads love Butch, as well as the deep and dirty and the light & bright. Few artists flow through genres and emotional landscapes with such ease and fluidity as Bulent, challenging preconceptions of the dance-floor and the expected outcome in the process. The spark behind his excursions is natural: as a music lover he’s always stayed open to different styles and aesthetics. As an artist, he’s always allowed himself to express his take on each genre — it’s true that with Butch, you never know what to expect, other than consistently fresh and unique output.

Butch’s production might have contributed to his rise through the ranks, but it’s his avid work ethic and undying love that gives his success a solid and deep-rooted foundation. Striking a fine line between quantity and quality is no easy task, but this juxtaposition comes easy to an unpredictable talent such as Butch. Holding residencies over the years at venues and clubs such as Sankeys Ibiza and Robert Johnson in Offenbach Germany, Butch continues to squeeze the best out of every after hour party and every club night floor that he holds court over.

Butch might be the hardest-working man in the scene, but it all comes naturally to a man who is first and foremost a music lover by heart. 5 days a week he spends emphatically producing music, as well as performing around the world at various parties, all of whom are looking for the special vibe and feeling that Butch brings to his unpredictable, existential sets.

“I like to make people dance and have fun. I’m the captain of the spaceship and I’m driving it. People who come to the show get in the ship — and I take them on a trip. To get into the spaceship, they leave their physical body at the door. You must switch off the real world and switch off the mind. I will do the rest.”

As with any restless entity, Butch is set to further explore pastures new in 2014. He’ll be launching OTHRSIDE and working on more experimental, “psycho-acoustic’ music with friend and percussionist Hohberg. A mixture of sonic soundscapes and electronic structures, the planned album will seek to cast its tracks across the divide of musical consumption and appreciation — an album suited to home listening as much as it is for dance-floor.

Further collaborations are also on the horizon, with a return to making music with friend and cohort Ricardo Villalobos as ButRic – with the two figures being anything but generic, it promises to be another feet twitching, brain melting escapade in Butch’s musical ride.

It’s Butch’s interplanetary connection to the music — and willingness to create out-of-the-box slabs of detailed sound – that maintains his position at the forefront of the underground electronic scene.

Dancefloor experimentalist and top Detroit techno producer Carl Craig has few equals in terms of the artistry, influence, and diversity of his recordings.

Carl Craig is described as a creative visionary, an electronic music icon, an esteemed Grammy-nominated composer, a world-class DJ and an ambassador for
his native Detroit. Yet the common thread that runs through Craig’s broad musical
canon and creative projects is a resounding fascination with futurism. The prolific
producer has cultivated a unique path as an artist, entrepreneur and civic leader,
guided by his tendency toward forward thinking.

“My livelihood is making music that I can perform, whether I’m doing orchestral
production or modular strangeness or generating club music. I don’t restrict
myself,” said Craig. “I defined myself by being who I am. The ultimate self respect
is when you say you’re going to do something and you go and do it to the best of
your ability.”

Craig released his first track in 1989 on a Virgin UK compilation album, with two
singles following on labels run by his first collaborator Derrick May. After a series
of ambitious releases for his co-owned Retroactive imprint, in 1991 Craig launched
his second record label Planet E with the groundbreaking EP “4 Jazz Funk Classics”,
under his alias 69. Planet-E turned 20 in 2011 and Craig celebrated the label’s
history by taking Planet-E and its artists and collaborators on a world tour for the
first time ever. He also previewed the 69 Live show for the first time, at select
festivals around the world, fusing masks, darkness and the music of 69, Craig
created 69’s own entity. As well as this, Planet-E invited friends of the label — like
Luciano, Kirk Del Giorgio, Loco Dice and more – to pick their favourite Planet-E
track to remix and re-release. Reflecting a year that was packed with events and
releases, Craig readily admits that when he started the label he was hoping “it
would last forever.” He cites artistic freedom as the highlight of running the label
and adds, “It was never a struggle for the label to be an outlet for my or other
people’s music. It was always a struggle to stay in business, actually a war to stay
in business.”

Looking back now to Craig’s early releases from 1989-1992, one can see how much
the wild variety found in his early music set the groundwork for his diverse career.
He’s fortunate to serve as an inspiration and influence to countless artists in the
underground electronic music scene as well as crossover acts like Underworld,
Hot Chip and LCD Soundsystem. His 1992 Innerzone Orchestra cut “Bug in the
Bassbin” was credited as the spark that inspired the evolution of drum’n’bass.
In typical Craig fashion, “Bug…” continued to develop, morphing into a live jazz
composition in 1996. In turn, those experiments laid the ground for Craig to
incorporate Jazz elements onto his 1999 I.O. album “Programmed.” Then in the 00’s
Craig explored jazz further still as producer on the albums “The Detroit Experiment”
and “Rebirth” (2009) for legendary Detroit Jazz collective Tribe. This is but one
example of Craig’s continually evolving exploration of sound.

Craig’s prolific nature is reflected in the many recording projects he has used
throughout his career including 69, BFC, C2, Innerzone Orchestra, No
Boundaries, Psyche, Paperclip People and Tres Demented. This rotating
cast of aliases has enabled him to continually explore new directions through
a long succession of full length albums, mix CDs and singles including “Throw”
(1994), “Landcruising” (1995), “The Secret Tapes of Dr Eich” (1996), “More Songs
About Food and Revolutionary Art” (1997), “Programmed” (1999), “The Detroit
Experiment” (2002), “The Workout” (2002), “Just Another Day” (2004), “Fabric 25”
(2005), “The Album Formerly Known As” (2005), “Paris Live” (2007), “Sessions”

(2008), “Recomposed” (with Moritz Von Oswald) (2008), “The Legendary
Adventures of a Filter King” (2009) and “Modular Pursuits” (2010).

Craig’s interest in collaboration continually grows. As “Versus”, one of his boldest
endeavors to date, Craig combines techno and classical music, opening himself up
to working in a new format by collaborating with orchestrator / pianist Francesco
Tristano, French orchestra Les Siècles, conductor Francois Xavier Roth and Moritz
Von Oswald. Inspired by well-received performances in large concerts halls in
Paris, Milan and Germany, Craig started the process of developing the project
into an album. He also performs as Trio alongside Von Oswald and Tristano. His
occasional appearances with the electronic collective jam band Narod Niki, alongside
Villalobos, Luciano, Richie Hawtin, Zip and others, have led to him appearing in
part live / part DJ gigs with Luciano. Additionally he’s taken to occasionally bringing
keyboardists like Mike Banks (UR), Amp Fiddler and Tristano into the DJ booth
with him for special one-off gigs. These mixed performances add some variety
in a non-stop DJ schedule that finds him spinning at top clubs worldwide. Craig
acknowledges, “Touring has always been the most important aspect of the music
industry for artists. There will always be that desire for human interaction.”. Lets
also mention that he has recently performed live soundtracks to films, first in
Amsterdam then in New York, where he improvised live to an Andy Warhol film at
Unsound Festival. The fact is, unpredictability is the only predictable thing about
Craig and his music.

Outside of his Planet E recordings, Craig also continues to be one of the most
sought-after remixers in the world. Craig has produced a seemingly never-ending
list of remixes that now extends over 100 cuts, including mixes for the likes of LCD
Soundsystem, Hot Chip, Friendly Fires, Caribou, Theo Parrish, Gavin Russom & Delia
Gonzalez, Tori Amos, Can, Goldfrapp, Unkle, Yello and others. He was nominated
for a Grammy in 2008 for his mix of the Junior Boys “Like a Child.” “It’s been
proven that the remix is a valid art form,” Craig said. “When I take on a project, the
ultimate goal is that it becomes my record. In many cases I’m actually recomposing
the track and the time that I spend reflects how personal it becomes.” Fortunately
there is no shortage of artists looking for that Carl Craig touch, so rest assured
you’ll hear Craig reconfiguring many of your favorite artists for years to come.

In the same way that he likes to make tracks he’s remixing his own, Craig’s
commitment to his home in Detroit is also something very personal. After launching
a festival to rival that of any in Europe with the Detroit Electronic Music Festival in
2000, Craig has shifted his focus to even more ambitious goals with the creation
of his non-profit 501-C3 Carl Craig Foundation. “The concept is to find ways to re-
educate kids about what’s interesting musically that you can’t get on the radio” says
Craig. Partnering with other non-profits to set up music scholarships, in 2010 the
Carl Craig Foundation presented a five-day workshop during the Movement Festival
at the Detroit School of the Arts, which exposed the students to professionals
in sound engineering, music festival production, record/music production and
musical performance. Craig sees the primary goal of the foundation as a way “to
develop a new music scene that follows the legacy of Detroit music being diverse
and interesting, to spot out the most talented young musicians coming out of high
school and lend small financial grants to encourage music education at a higher
level.”

This commitment to Detroit music also extends to how his Planet E family of
labels is run. Not only has it given a home to a wide range of Detroit-based
artists including Francesco Mora Catlett, Naomi Daniel, Flexitone, Jason Hogans,

Kenny Larkin, Monty Luke, Ezana Harris, Moodyman, Mike Agent X, Oliverwho
Factory, Recloose, Reference, Kevin Saunderson, Big Tone, Tribe, Urban Tribe,
and Chaz Vincent, it has also been serving as a distributor for Detroit imprints
including Derrick May’s Transmat and Stacey Pullen’s Black Flag. “The reality of the
business is that you have to change. That’s a very difficult process, especially as
an independent. I made a conscious decision a few years ago to invest in what I
do. It’s turning it around and putting it into the studio and the label for my music
to develop. We’re fighters around here. We fight to find new ways of selling. We
do manufacture vinyl and there are people who want it. We’re fighting to keep it
alive. Fighting for music that we have a vision for,” Craig say about Detroit. “My
commitment to the city is like a commitment to your family. I’ve been here all my
life and I’ve seen great things happen elsewhere, why not be involved in making my
home great?”

When Craig explains his philosophy, his wry sense of humor seeps into his
explanations of far-reaching concepts that merge worlds together. “I have a very
special career. When I feel that I’m tired of going on the road I can go in the studio.
When I’m tired of concentrating on the studio I can go on the road. I can work with
concert pianists, jazz musicians or rock guys. Very few people have that range of
interests. Very few people juggle a career that they choose specifically.” No one else
can pull it all together quite like Carl Craig.

Born in Uruguay, he grew up and started his career as a D.J. in Argentina, being known in the best clubs and discos of Buenos Aires and Punta Del Este.

After three consecutive summer playing in New Faces (P. del E. ’84-’86) he went to Europe and once in Ibiza he started working by chance at Night Life club, becoming resident after a while.

On those days when the movement called Balearic Beats came up, Carlos took part of it joining the most important D.J Cesar de Melero, Jose Padilla ,Alfredo.

After ten consecutive summer in Night Life (’86-’95), and two years in Space (’89-’90) and Aqualandia (’91-’94), he started working with the crew of Zenith. At first in afterhours beach parties (’95) and during the next year in Pacha (Ibiza).

On those days he was resident at Km-5 for five years. Then Zenith became an alternative room inside Pacha club and because of its success, one of the best parties in the Ibiza’s night.

During winter months of 2001, he went over many important clubs in Europe, alternating residences in Pacha, Divino in Buenos Aires and Niki Beach in Miami.

In 2001 Zenith changed from Pacha to Amnesia and his new residence at the terrace achieved a great success among island’s public, becoming one of the favorites D.J.

His last work as a producer was the single of the year 2001 “Ladies in the night” by Zenith Ibiza Recordings and the next year with Laurent C, “Allright” by Ultrabomb Records.

Once again with Zenith he took part in the Miami’s Winter Music Conference for the third time.

In January and February he made, as usual a tour playing in the most fashioned clubs of Buenos Aires.

Recently he finished a one-month Heineken tour throughout China., After that he played in Los Angeles Hour Power, Barcelona, Eslovenia, Pars, Milan and Zurich. Now he just got back to Ibiza to take his place as a resident in Zenith.

If you don’t know them by now, their full Polish names are Grzegorz and Wojciech but you can call them Greg and Voitek. As DJs you are likely to find them playing disco/deephouse at the small parties they organize frequently in Berlin and Szczecin as well as tech-house and techno at festivals and big clubs all over the world.

Their real names may be Grzegorz and Wojciech, but there have been plenty of others along the way: early DJ sets as Deeop and Ketiov, champions of the underground as 3 Channels, or simply ‘Greg and Voitek’ to nearest and dearest. No doubt, you’ll know them best as CATZ ‘N DOGZ. The last few years have seen the duo’s refreshing take on dance floor music propel them into the limelight and seen them feature in Resident Advisor’s hallowed Top 100 DJ Poll. The truth is clear: Catz ‘n Dogz are well ‘n truly at the top of their game.

It all began in 2003, when best friends Greg and Voitek hosted their first club night as 3 Channels in their hometown Szczecin, Poland. From here they developed and grew organically, amassing a loyal legion of fans. They broadened their creative pursuits further with music production being their next natural outlet. Their techno-centric tracks swiftly caught the attention and featured on the rosters of some of the most respected underground dance labels in the world: Trapez, Crosstown Rebels, Pokerflat as well as the boys’ own budding imprint Channels Rec. It wasn’t long before Claude VonStroke heard 3 Channels’ red-hot club records and snapped the boys up for his dirtybird imprint where there they remixed Claude’s infamous anthem “Who’s Afraid Of Detroit?” for a highly limited (and highly sought-after) one sided vinyl release, followed by an original ep and dancefloor-destroyer Chicken Affair.

By 2008, they had completely evolved, reemerging with a looser, freewheeling house sound, a hybrid masterpiece of a debut album, Stars of Zoo, and a new name: Catz ‘n Dogz. The pair successfully integrated deep house signatures without losing sight of their techno roots, whilst exploring lush, organic soundscapes. To a rapturous response they unveiled a follow up album, Escape from Zoo, that intertwined vines of street bass, disco, R&B, deep house, hip-hop and collaborations with heavy hitters dOP, Claude VonStroke and Jazzanova’s Paul Randolph. This launched them headlong into a heavy period of touring, live shows and festivals around the globe.

The natural progression was to launch a new label. Pets Recordings kicked off the Petcast podcast series and took their label showcases on the road. Their A&R home runs, debuting Eats Everything’s smash “Entrance Song” and more recently, Rachel Row’s “Follow The Step” (KiNK and Justin Martin remixes) firmly puts Pets Recordings on the map.

Ten years on, the boys now hold residencies at Watergate Club, Berlin, dirtybird at Sankeys, Ibiza as well as hosting multiple Pets Recordings showcases across Poland and at Watergate. It goes without saying the guys are building an ever-growing portfolio of live music achievements as they continue to throw their “Pets Parties” all over the world, formerly showcasing the label’s talent in Berlin, Ibiza, Paris, Munich and London as well as at the Winter Music Conference, SONAR and BPM Festival.

2012 saw Catz ‘n Dogz mix the legendary ‘Body Language’ compilation series, release ‘They Frontin’ featuring Monty Luke EP, which was nominated as WMC’s best deep house track of 2012 and release a second instalment of their Pets Recordings compilation ‘Friends Will Carry You Home Too’. They even managed to squeeze in a debut ‘Essential Mix’ for BBC Radio 1.

Last year brought us a collaboration release with KiNK on the ‘Love EP’ for dirtybird, as well as the free release of the ‘Untitled’ album under their Different Marks alias. This collaborative project with Martin Dawson was released earlier this year in memory of the UK producer and features artists such as Paul Randolph, Ben Westbeech, Cari Golden & James Yuill. The duo joined forces with Eats Everything as ‘Catz Eats Dogz’ on an ongoing series of releases and their refreshing of Thomas Schumacher’s ‘Hush’ instantly established itself as one of the biggest club hits of 2013. Pets Recordings delivered more hits, including a wonderful second single from Rachel Row, ‘L Square’, and a label debut from Pete Tong. The label also spawned a new vinyl only sister imprint STEP.

2014 is already proving to be the busiest year to date for Catz ‘n Dogz. Having kicked things off with their Pets party at BPM in January their label events program has continued at full pace. Their Watergate residency gathers strength, their Sonar event is on the horizon and July will also see the first ever WOODED event to be hosted in Wroclaw, Poland. A packed summer season awaits the duo. One thats sees them play the finest of Ibiza’s parties and many of the key festivals around the world. The compiling and release of Friends Will Carry Home III has kept Catz ‘n Dogz busy on the label front, and they have also been locked in the studio working on their very own new artist album, set for release in early 2015. Exciting times.

So, whether you’re charmed by their bass-heavy, colourful, groove-laden DJ sets, drawn in by their arresting live show, weaving your way through their illustrious output as producers, or delving into the magical tunes curated from their close network of friends, Grzegorz and Wojciech (or Greg ‘n Voitek) are simply two of the hottest house Catz (‘n Dogz) around.

Chaim is a true stand out artist in today’s fast paced electronic world. After the first wave of stunning releases for labels like Supplement Facts, Cocoon and MBF, for over a year now Chaim has worked exclusively with the Berlin based BPitch Control imprint. His recent acclaimed output, like is debut album ‘Alive’ in spring 2011, has proven his powerful, individual productions to be some of the highest quality club tracks around.

Fusing solid bass heavy grooves, clearly inspired by his love for those classic jacking Chicago jams, hypnotic synth hooks, trade mark effected percussion, live instrumentation and vocal snippets, Chaim’s unique and organic sound always makes an impact. Underpinned by top-class studio knowhow, his crisp, forward thinking records are a joy to drop in front of even the biggest crowds.
