Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a Microsoft Agent or Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an official Microsoft global customer service number.
Hi everybody.Simplest of them would be to follow these steps:
- Click on start>Default Programs
- Click on 'Set your default programs'
- in the programs list, click on 'Windows Media Player'
- Click Set this program as default
This should stop itunes from launching automatically when you open that zip file. However, I am using itunes over a year version 8.1 but still I do not have that problem. I suggest you should update your itunes.If problem still persists, follow these steps:
- Click on Start>Default Programs
- Click on 'Associate a filetype or protocol with a program'
- Scroll down to .Zip
- click on it and the click 'Change Program'
- Select WinZip or WinRAR from the list that appears. If they are not displayed then click on drop-down arrow besides 'Other Programs'. If still it does not work the you need to install winRAR or WinZIP.
- If WinZIP or WinRAR has appeared then click Ok and Ok.
- If it does not appear then go to google, search for WinZIP or WinRAR and download latest version.
This should probably solve all your queries.
