You're seeing this message because Chrome has started to block insecure downloads (I would encourage you to share this link with Canon support). As Peter mentions, although we do not recommend this, you can turn this security feature off by following these steps:

- Go back to the website, reload the page and retry your file download.

Hello, did you figure out the problem? I just bought the same printer today and now I am trying to hook it up and my computer is telling me the same thing.

Just spent an hour on the phone to Canon support but no solution. They never heard of the problem. I tried the download via chrome and Edge.
