How to download maps on minecraft ps3 usb

2. Plug in your flashdrive. Go to the home screen on the PS3, and go to the "Game" tab. Then go to "Saved Data Utility" and you should see USB Device.  Scroll down to one of your saved minecraft worlds in "Saved Data Utility" and press triangle. After that, choose copy. You will two see choices, go ahead and select USB Device. This was done so that a folder on the flash drive called PS3 was created. Inside the PS3 folder is another folder called, "Saved Data". You want to drag your custom maps that you downloaded into there. 

3. Go on your computer, and download whatever custom map you want. Make sure they downloaded file is in rar or zip format. You will have to unzip the file to get to the custom map folder. However , there is a difference between Digital version of Minecraft and the Disc Version of Minecraft. If you have the digital version , you want the folder to start off as NPUB31419-- . If you have the Disc Version of Minecraft, you want the folder to start off as BLUS31426--.  If it doesn't tell you what version (Digital or Disc), just download it and see what the folder starts off as. Usually the folder is just NPUB31419-- or BLUS31426-- , and a string of numbers after it. But occasionally it may be in a folder called PS3, if that is the case, just drag the NPUB or BLUS folder out.  

4. Once the folder is out, you want to drag it into the "Saved Data" folder on your flash drive. The "Saved Data" folder is in the PS3 folder which I told you about earlier. Inside there you will also found the file you copied from your PS3 earlier. Just ignore it.  Make sure you either drag a folder that starts off with NPUB or BLUS (depending on which minecraft version you have) . If you are dragging something completely different, you did it wrong. You want the entire folder. Once it is in "Saved Data", eject your usb flash drive, remove it , and plug it back into your PS3. If you manage to corrupt files on your flash drive because you failed to eject it safely, I am not responsible. Once it is plugged in the PS3, go back to "Saved Data Utility" under "game", find the USB device, then the map that you downloaded, press triangle, then copy. After that you're done! Go ahead and enjoy!
