We understand that you are facing problems with Micrografx Picture Publisher Professional 10 Editing tool after upgrading to Windows

This issue may occur due to outdated or incompatible programs. Try the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Uninstall and re-install the program with latest updates.
Download the latest version of the program setup-file from the official website and uninstall the program from the system. To uninstall the program, follow the below given steps.
1. Right click on Windows logo and click on Programs and features.
2. Right click on the program and select uninstall.
3. Now, reinstall the downloaded program and check if works;

If the issue still persist, continue with method 2.

Method 2: Check in compatibility mode and check.
Download the setup file from the website for Windows

Follow these steps to install the program in compatibility mode and check if that helps.
a. Download the setup file from the official website.
b. Right-click on the setup file and click on ‘properties’.
c. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8/ operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.
d. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

I, like you, had the exact same problem. I have spent hours trying to solve this and eventually found the answer to the broken picture syndrome.

In the programme itself go to Tools/Options/Display and untick the box "Image Progressive Rendering" click "apply" then click "OK".

Incidentally I have the compatibility set to Windows 7 and all tools work OK. Hope this may help.

Thanks for the advice above as I was having this problem as well.

When you say you have the compatibility set to Windows 7, where is this setting? In PP Tools/Options/General only compatibility I can see mentioned is Windows

Thanks a lot Graham. I had suffered that problem since years with several computers (others worked well) and I didn't want to leave Picture Publisher, one of my firsts and favorite programs (it came as bundle when I bought the scanner for my AMSTRAD ).
