How long does it take to download a torrent

Just downloaded Twlight's "Eclipse" yesterday from a private tracker (public trackers are usually filled with virus and password infested files). Can't wait for the official release until then the torrent file will have to do.

It took me about 45 minutes to download the 1.35 GB sized file.

When the seeders have a big enough upload speed and there are not yet so many leechers the downloading (leeching) process can be very quick. Sometimes when I download a HDTV.CTU file (around 1.09 to 1.49 GB) from a show it can very well take 5 hours when there are barely any proper seeders (or too many leechers) with hugh upload ability.

Got some free membership offer with a PC magazine I bought for a Rapidshare Premium account, but still hesitant to use it since I do not have any knowledge about proper forums and boards where posters offer their TV show episodes on Rapidshare. That's why I stuck with torrents to this day.
