Protect Yourself From Tech Support Scams
Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a Microsoft Agent or Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an official Microsoft global customer service number.
My wifi device was working fine with Windows 10 pro, I just switched back to windows 8.1 pro, now my wifi device doesn't working on windows 8.1, Why???? but it showing in device manager as a hidden device, I updated the drivers and drivers installed properly but its not showing as a wireless adapter. My laptop is Haier Y11B and wifi hardware is Realtek RTL8723B Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network.
I really seeking technical help.
Make sure that you have downloaded and installed the latest Wi-Fi Drivers for your Model Laptop and Operating System from the Laptop manufacturer's website.
Go to their website > Drivers/software/Support Downloads Section > key in your Model Number and Operating System > download and install the Wi-Fi Drivers for your operating system.

Also read the Manual for your Model which you should be able to download there, too.

Read under these different headers at the above link:
1. Enable with laptop Wi-Fi button
2. Enable with laptop Fn and Function key
3. Enable in Windows
Note: In Windows 8, when you right-click the Wi-Fi icon, check to see if Airplane Mode is turned on. If it is, turn it off to enable the wireless network card.
4. Enable in Windows Device Manager.
5. Enable in CMOS setup
Cheers.
