Solution:
Export a CAD file from Fusion 360, or download a file from a Fusion project site (A360).
Export from Fusion 360
- In Fusion 360, choose File > Export.
- In the Export dialog box, for Type, specify the file type.
Note: Some file types require cloud translation, which can take some extra time.
List of file types which can be exported from Fusion 360:
- Autodesk Fusion 360 Archive Files (*.f3d)
- Autodesk Inventor 2018 Files (*.ipt)
- DWG Files (*.dwg)
- DXF Files (*.dxf)
- FBX Files (*.fbx)
- IGES Files (*.igs *.iges)
- OBJ Files (*.obj)
- SAT Files (*.sat)
- SketchUp Files (*.skp)
- SMT Files (*.smt)
- STEP Files (*.stp *.step)
- STL Files (*.stl)
If the Fusion Archive File option is unavailable when you export the file, the model is a distributed design that contains XREFs. For details see, No option to export a .f3d or .f3z local archive file from Fusion 360.

Export from your project site (A360)
- Sign in to myhub.autodesk360.com or your team site.
- Open your project and locate your Fusion design.
- Click the Export icon for your design. (You must hover over the item for the icon to appear.)
